I am Attila Bekkvik Szentirmai an Assistant Professor and Ph.D. research fellow at the Department of Design at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
I am currently a course coordinator and lecturer of Web of Things (IDG3006) for Web-developer and Interaction Design students.
My research focuses on the Universal Design of ICT, Human-Computer Interaction, and the novel implementation, design, and development of Augmented Reality.
Prior to my engagement at NTNU, I worked as Assistant Professor at the University of Agder (UiA) Faculty of Health and Sport Sciences and Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) Department of Computer Science on different research and teaching duties. I have an interdisciplinary background incorporating Social Science, Art and Humanities, Software engineering, and Human-Computer Interaction.
My ongoing Ph.D. project aims to produce a set of Evidence-based Accessibility Guidelines for Augmented Reality.
Besides academia, I worked for many years as a Freelance Web Developer in several companies and was working as a Mobile App developer during the smartphone revolution. I also founded and ran a creative development studio behind 20+ Android and IOS apps within the education, entertainment, and health categories.
